Project Team
Our research group is led by Dr. Peter Dawson (Archive Director), Department of Anthropology and Archaeology and Dr. Derek Lichti, Geomatics Engineering, at the University of Calgary. It is comprised of archaeologists, geomatics engineers, computer scientists and heritage managers.

Denis Gadbois
Denis Gadbois is a senior instructor and award winning photographer in the Department of Art at the University of Calgary.
Susanne Goosney
Susanne Goosney is a graduate of the University of Calgary, Her interests lie in the areas of Historical Archaeology, particularly on the Canadian Plains, as well as Heritage Preservation.
Colleen Hughes
Colleen completed her Master of Arts degree in Archaeology in early 2018. Her research interests include Indigenous traditional land use, landscape archaeology, toponomy (place name studies), and arctic archaeology.
Madisen Hvidberg
Madi is an MA student in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology. She is currently exploring how 3D data can be used for heritage management in Alberta.
Kelsey Penannen
Kelsey is an MA student in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Calgary. Her research interests include the digital documentation of archaeological heritage resources at risk in Alberta.
Kate Pexman
Kate Pexman is a graduate student in Geomatics Engineering. She is interested in applying LiDAR, laser scanning and GIS to the field of Archaeology.
Christina Robinson
Christina is a PhD. candidate at the University of Calgary. She is employing Building Information Models (BIMs), terrestrial laser scanning and photogrammetry as monitoring tools for the physical changes at Brooks Aqueduct.

Elisa is a Heritage Conservation Technologist at Alberta Culture and Tourism
